Methodology and limitations

Texas Settlement Calculator transcribed the listed county totals from TxDOT's 2024 and 2025 Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Involved Crashes and Injuries by County tables and DUI (Alcohol) Crashes and Injuries by County tables. Percentage change equals the 2025 total minus the 2024 total, divided by the 2024 total, multiplied by 100.

These are raw reported crash counts. They are not adjusted for population, traffic volume, commercial-vehicle exposure, or vehicle miles traveled. They do not establish causation, fault, insurance coverage, or the value of an individual claim.

TxDOT states that its 2025 tables reflect reportable Texas Peace Officer crash reports received and processed through April 7, 2026; the 2024 tables reflect processing through April 9, 2025.
